My First Card!

I know it has been awhile but with the holidays........ well you all know how that goes! I did enjoy a little time learning some new techniques from Tim Holtz with his 12 tags of Christmas series........ it was so much fun learning what to do with all the neat inks, embossing powders and stamps I had laying around in my studio only collecting dust! I honestly didn't know were to begin but now...... I am in love with stamping and playing with all the inks, dyes and powders...... so much fun!

Here is the first card I made a few nights ago -

I got a steal of a deal from a lady selling off all her stamping supplies - I found her on Craig's list and when I tell you a steal....... I mean a STEAL!!!

For $100 bucks I received the following: (and this is what I can remember.......)
at least 15 complete sets of stamp kits, the ink spinning carousel completely filled with ink pads including their coordinating refill bottles, 14 rolling stamps - both wide and regular sizes, the handles, the ink cartridges, ink pad cleaner, ink cleaner bottles full, 4 ink blender pens, 10 markers, two punch and stamp kits (I have no idea what they are called but they have a punch, 8 stamps and three ink pads in each kit in a tin box.... really cool!) 10 stamping up idea books and catalogs, several organizers, around 15 various other stamps from different manufactures, tons of pencils and pens, two large punches, a paper crimping tool, a bone folder, tons of embossing kits and powders, the list goes on and on........... after doing a little research I found that the carousel filled with ink alone was worth more than I paid for everything (retail value)! I literally received thousands of dollars worth of stamping supplies for only $100! I actually asked her if she was a sales rep for Stampin Up as she had so much of it...... and she said no way, I just liked stamping and now I want to make beaded jewelry so I am clearing out my craft room to make room for beads!!!!!

You have got to LoVe rich people that bore easily!!!!!!!

Here are a few pictures of some of the goodies...... excuse the mess - still trying to find homes for all the goodies!
